FAQ
- At 80% quality, WebP and JPEG compression typically reduces file size by 50–80% compared to the original. PNG uses lossless compression, so Canvas-based conversion may not reduce the size much or may even increase it. For significant size reduction, choose WebP or JPEG.
- For web publishing, WebP is recommended — it achieves 20–30% smaller file sizes than JPEG at equivalent quality, and all modern browsers support it. For email attachments, social media, or situations where broad compatibility matters, JPEG is the safer choice.

- No. This tool only applies quality-based compression — pixel dimensions remain unchanged. If you need to resize an image, use the Image Resizer tool.
